There is much that will pass for poetry,
Rhyme and rhythm are what it means to me
However, I'll use other forms as well
And hope to do it so that you can tell
That I have done it most artfully

This is a page for new work of mine, so that I have some copyright protection before I share any of them elsewhere...
So far, "Prose Poem" is the first and I'll probably be adding some more as time goes on.

Working as the bindery foreman for SIRS, Inc. (Social Issues Resources Series)
PROSE POEM

Ideas come and go,
Slipping through my grasp,
They dance heel and toe,
Elusive as an asp.

Sometimes they'll come again
So I have one more chance
To hold tightly to them
As through my mind they dance.

Poetry's like breathing,
Because you're grasping air,
Entering and leaving,
To find there's nothing there.

Poems become prosaic
And it's truly tragic
When a poem's mosaic
Has to lose its' magic...
